BROOKE CASILLAS WELGOS

A creative mind through and through, I have always been drawn to the arts. I started photography at a young age and was instantly enamored, framing scenes in my head and thinking of ways to capture through the lens what I see. With formal training at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, I worked for In Style Magazine in New York before landing in Aspen for a summer. One summer grew into one more season, and 14 years later I now call Colorado home.

With a career spanning from freelance photography to pop-up gallery to magazine owner and editor, my focus is on fine art photography and lifestyle shoots. My goal is to connect with my subject, whether person or landscape, and my philosophy is to follow the light. The end result is a beautiful image that captures the true expression and personality of people and places.

When not behind the camera, I spend time with my husband and kids, celebrate milestone moments with family and friends, and soak in the best the Aspen valley has to offer.
